Who Am I?
Growing up in a small, dynamic town between Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo, the hustle and bustle of city life has always enamored me. Erie, Pennsylvania, may be known for its remarkable sunsets, but I know it as home!
As a student at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, I have had the opportunity to explore various topics through rigorous coursework. Originally a psychology major, I discovered that writing is my true passion. At the end of my sophomore year, I declared my major in English, studying under the film, literature, and culture sub-option. I planned to pursue a career in medical writing, but I was open to exploring the other diverse career opportunities an English degree offers.
I have always had a passion for design and writing--as a matter of fact, I designed my senior yearbook and was the senior editor-in-chief in 2020--but never considered pursuing it as a career.
It wasn't until I served on Behrend's fall concert committee that I recognized I could use my creative passions in the workforce. I began investing time in learning SEO, HTML, and Google Analytics and started a blog.
I later joined the Behrend Beacon, a student-run newspaper, as the news editor. I oversee several staff writers, create articles and graphics, and organize layouts in Adobe InDesign. Though a designated news editor, I create pieces for other sections, including arts & entertainment, opinions, and sports.
I have been provisionally accepted to Penn State World Campus' marketing analytics and insights M.S. program, where I plan to fully enroll as a degree-seeking student.
I will graduate from undergraduate school in the fall of 2023, but I am open to discussing future opportunities now!
